REVIEW :- I thought about it and despite how everyone waited and looked with emotion at the Friends Reunion, it left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. And not only for the nostalgia of a collective moment of youth, but for a pervasive feeling of emptiness.
These friends who have seen each other only once all together in 17 years, so in short, they are not so many friends, yet they profess indissoluble love, they don't ask, they don't say the things that friends who haven't seen each other for a lifetime would ask. What happened in life after this 10-year tsunami of fame, what was it like to have nothing like it afterwards, or being addicted to stress or not having children or being married and divorced from a planetary star, (which is in fact incidentally nominated as a guest star).
It is true there is talk of a sit com and not of their lives, but this reunion that cannot in fact add anything new to the backstage anecdotes already told a thousand times (Jennifer Aniston risked not being part of the series, David Schwimmer hated the monkey ) at one point goes around the world to ask fans to tell how Friends changed their lives. But the protagonists instead of how it has upset theirs, then and after, do not speak.
The twenties of that time are now grayed out, weighed down and somehow absent. Reviewing the clips of the episodes of Friends and its protagonists now makes you think of the time that passes and, if you are among those who saw the episodes 17 years ago, you realize that it also passes for you. Nostalgia is the comparison between then and today, but it is an empty feeling because the reflection on time that passes, these friends of ours never share with us, to return, brilliantly but without substance, always to a set that no longer exists.
